Memorial Day

We went up to Brian's grandma's house for our annual Memorial Day party. It was fun as always. Abby was big enough this year to go over to the park next door and play with the other kids. She had a BLAST!! And by the time we left she was ready for a break. She slept like a champ that night! Here are some pics that Brian took:

Abby going down the slide with Nikki. They were good buddies that day!

Abby going down the slide...notice how all the other kids are behind Abby? Yeah, they're not dumb...the slide was wet! Abby was the youngest and therefore didn't know she was being used as a mop! Her bum was SOAKED after this! :) Oh well, they've gotta learn somehow!

Cub Scouts Outing

Last night Brian had Cub Scouts so (as usual) Abby and I tagged along! We road Front Runner down to SLC then hopped on Trax and went over to Temple Square for a few minutes...seriously A FEW MINUTES. Then we got BACK on Trax to get to the Front Runner station and then back on Front Runner to come home. This whole process took about 3 hours! Abby was such a trooper. We didn't have dinner before we went (slacker mommy) and considering the length of the trip, an early nap, and no food in her belly she did really well.
Abby on the ride down. She was so excited to ride the "choo-choo train."

Abby at Temple Square. She was VERY concerned about all the "moneys" in the fountain.
Mommy and Abby at Temple Square. We were the tail end of the pack, but what do you expect from a prego woman and a 2 year old with short legs?

Daddy and Abby on the way back home. He is always so good to keep her entertained! :) She loves when he tickles her.

My two nappers

As I sit here writing this Abby and Brian both are having their afternoon naps! :) Today was a Friday off for Brian so he and Abby went swimming this morning while I went off to work. I guess they played pretty hard at the pool because they are both ZONKED OUT!!! I can even hear them both snoring. :)

Brian sleeping...I didn't dare get any closer for fear that he would wake up. He's not going to be too happy with me putting this on the blog, but hopefully he'll take it better since I let him continue with his nap and didn't wake him with the camera.

Abby sleeping in her new toddler bed! We set this up last week and she hasn't given us one bit of greif over changing her other bed back into a crib for "baby brother" (yeah, still no name... :) )

What a cutie!

Painting

Yesterday Abby and I weren't feeling the best. The poor little thing has a cold that is making her nose stuffy yet runny at the same time. My cold luckly isn't as bad as hers... Well, I decided to stay home from work and just hang out the two of us. We watched movies, drank OJ, and played just about everything we could inside. Finally in the afternoon (after her nap) we went outside and painted. I needed to paint some bookshelves for the kid's bedroom, so I got some wood for Abby to paint on. She was so excited to get to go outside, and to be able to paint!! We were out there for about an hour and a half. Abby was very content...she had to keep showing me all the colors that she was using (although when mixed together they turned into a grey color.) She was so proud of her paintings; and I was so proud that she sat there for nearly 2 hours.

Saturday Before Mother's Day Fun

This past Saturday we went up to Heber to have a little get together with my mom's family. As always we had dinner in the garage at my grandparent's house then just chatten and hung out with everyone. Well, my mom told Brian and I that we needed to head inside. We did and we were welcomed to our suprise shower! YEAH, ANOTHER ONE!!! How freaking awesome! I didn't expect to even have one shower this go around, but 2 and for them BOTH to be suprise...I guess I'm an easy one to pull something over on! :) THANKS MOM!!!

After the shower we went back to my mom and dad's house and Abby was able to play with her cousins for a little while. My dad, Brian and Shauna took all the kidos over to a huge grassy area that is behind my parent's house and they flew a kite! Abby was in HEAVEN!! Abby, Bo and Hadley (Shauna's girls) chasing after the kite.
"Papa" and all his little girls (except Reagen who was sleeping in the van.)
Abby and Hadley...best buds.

Just Chillen'

Last Monday after I got home from work Abby and I played outside with the sidewalk chalk and then ate some popsicles. I wish I had taken an "after" picture when she was all done with hers. I guess I was too worried about a blue sicky mess everywhere!

Our Little Helper

Latley all Abby wants to do is, "hep Mommy," "hep Daddy." On Saturday she helped Brian wash the car. This is one of her favorite things to do A)because she's "heping" and B)because it involves water!

Yes, she is in her SNOW BOOTS. She loves to wear them ANYTIME she can!

Front Runner

So last week Front Runner offically opened. Abby and I rode it on a "free day" after I got off work. IT WAS INSAINLY BUSY!! We went with our friends Kiki and Karina. It was so funny Abby kept saying that she was riding Thomas the train. When the train pulled up Abby was a little afraid, but after the first few minutes she warmed up to it and loved the ride.

Abby on the train ride to SLC...There was NO room for me to take any good pictures so I made her look up at me.
