Quick Update

Ok, so I don't have any pictures(I've been slacking lately) but I'll have some soon! I just HAD to post about the brilliant little boy we have. Wednesday evening Carson learned a new trick (wow, putting it that way makes him sound like a dog. :D) He crawled over to our coffee table and just pulled himself up. Yes, I mean STANDING! He is 8 months old and he is pulling himself up to a standing position. Today he was doing his new trick and wanted his bottle that was at the other end of the coffee table. No, he didn't walk over to it, but he sure tried. I am so surprised at how fast he is learning to do things. I'll take some pics and post them soon!

Update

Well, life has been busy, to say the least, the past few weeks. January and February seem to be the LONGEST months of the year. We are very much ready for spring, but sadly we woke up to this today...



Abby was a big help, as always! She and Brian got it done in no time; I'm sure when they wake up from their naps they'll have a fresh layer that needs shoveled..lucky them! :)



Despite the snow we woke up to today we have had a wonderful Valentine's Day. This morning we exchanged cards and gifts. Abby loves the musical cards, and spent nearly the whole morning dancing to them!

In other news Carson is FINALLY getting teeth. I'm hoping they get through quickly; I want my mellow baby back!! And here is just a shot of the kids a few days ago before bed time.

First Time Sewing

Ok, so I got my first sewing machine a month ago, and have wanted to find projects but have been too intimidated to make much. I thought it would be fun to teach my Activity Day girls a little about sewing...even though my knowledge is LIMITED! I came across this wonderful blog that gave me step by step directions on making scripture totes. YAY for blogland!! :) Anyway, today I decided to give it a try and it turned out GREAT!! Check it out!



I also found some fabric at Hobby Lobby that was PERFECT for a sun dress for Abby. I just sewed it up, added ribbion to the bottom, and to the top for the straps and WALLA... cute huh? She's not to happy because she just woke up and I made her put the dress on before she had her fruit snacks (I'm such a mean mom!)

Cousin Fun

On Friday we had our niece Dani come stay with us overnight. We had a lot of fun! She had a rough time when it came to sleeping, but we made a makeshift bed out of couch cushions and it worked out! Here are some pictures of Abby and Dani; they had such a great time together!!

We did "Crazy Hair" in the tub! They were both laughing so hard when I showed them their hair in the mirror.


Just before bedtime they were both sitting on the couch reading stories to each other.


On Saturday just before Dani's mom and dad came to get her, the girls feel asleep on the couches watching a movie. It was GREAT to have some quiet time. I'm not quite ready for 3 kids. :)
